In short: finalist.cc reads quotes and scopes jobs you send it, and writes back a note. It does not do the work, does not find contractors, and does not vouch for any contractor.

Accepting these terms

By using finalist.cc (the “site”) or sending information through it, you agree to these terms and to our privacy page. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What the site is

• A note is information. A benchmark note compares a quote with a standard scope for its trade. A scoping document lists what a quote should price. Neither is legal, accounting, engineering or other professional advice, an inspection, or an opinion on any contractor or price.
• No relationship is created. Sending a form does not create a contract with us or with any contractor.
• No reply promise. We read what we receive by hand. We do not promise a reply, a reply time, or that we can do a note for every job.
• Contractors are independent. We are not a contractor. Any quote, contract or payment is between you and that contractor, and you are the one who checks their license, registration and insurance.
• Your quote stays with us. We do not send your quote, your request or your details to contractors, and we take no payment from contractors for referrals.
• The samples. The sample note and sample scoping document, their names, figures and homes are made up to show the format. The drawings are illustrations.

Fair use of the site

Use the site only for lawful purposes. Please do not scrape it in bulk, send false or spam requests, probe or attack its security, or pose as another person or business.

Ownership

The text, drawings, marks, layouts and code on this site belong to Our Landmen LLC or its licensors. A note we write for you is yours to use and share.

Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Our Landmen LLC and its affiliates, officers and service providers are not liable for indirect, punitive, special or consequential damages from using or relying on this site or a note.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
